Some one did a hit and run on me this past summer. and nothing has happened about it. I had a witness and everything. The police told me that basicly if there are no injurys the chance of them getting cought are slim and nil. I got the plate of the person, i know who they are and where they live. But the insurance wont pay out as its my word agaist theres. The police are just a waste of time. The witness saw the accident but did not see who was diving the car, so basicly they are worthless. So your friend is a total moron for driving drunk, but he might want to sit tight before reporting it stolen. I am speaking for the GA police, i dont know about elsewhere.
